A Wide Angle Sensor Floodlight for Large Outdoor Areas
The Steinel LS 300 LED in white is a wall mounted outdoor sensor floodlight built to light up large areas around a building. Its infrared sensor covers 240 degrees with a reach of 12 metres, and the integrated LED gives 2962 lumens at 4000K neutral white from 29.5W. It works well as an LED security light for a driveway, courtyard or the side of the house.
White Aluminium Housing with a Clear Glass Cover
This version has a white aluminium floodlight head with a clear glass cover over the LED panel. The sensor sits in a separate round head below the lamp. A black version of the LS 300 LED is also available if you prefer a darker finish against brick or cladding.
How It Works
A passive infrared sensor detects movement and switches the light on. A built in photocell stops it coming on in daylight. You set the on time from 10 seconds to 15 minutes, and the twilight level from 2 to 1000 lux, using the potentiometer dials on the unit. Steinel lists a sneak by guard, and the sensor zones can be masked individually, which helps if you want to avoid a neighbouring path or road. The best mounting height is 1.8 to 4 metres, with 2 metres ideal. The LED is a Steinel integrated system with a CRI of 80 to 89. It cannot be replaced, and Steinel quotes a life of 50,000 hours. It runs from a 220 to 240V mains supply and is a Class I fitting. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Steinel suggests it for all round the building, including a courtyard and driveway. It is fixed to a wall with surface wiring, and it is rated IP44 and IK03, so it is protected against splashing water and light impact outdoors.
