A Manually Switched Outdoor LED Floodlight

The Steinel LS 150 in black is a wall mounted outdoor LED floodlight with no motion sensor. You switch it on and off yourself from a wall switch, which makes it a good fit where you want a light that stays on when you choose. It uses 14.7W and gives a neutral white 4000K light, and the head adjusts 80 degrees horizontally and 150 degrees vertically. That makes it a practical outdoor security light for a courtyard, driveway or front door.

Black Aluminium Finish

This version has a black aluminium housing with a flat opal cover over the LED. The black finish suits dark window frames, cladding and metalwork, and a white version of the LS 150 is also available if you prefer a lighter look. The head tilts on its bracket, so you can aim the light at a path, a door or a parking area. Colour in photos can vary slightly from the real fitting.

How It Works

This is the version without a sensor, so there is no detection range, timer or twilight dial to set. The light is controlled by a switch, which is wired in with the fitting. The LED is an integrated Steinel system with a CRI of 80 to 89, so it is not designed to be replaced. It runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply, is rated IP44 and is a Class I fitting. Where It Works Best

Steinel suggests it for gardens, front doors, courtyards and driveways, all round the building, terraces and balconies, and multi storey or underground car parks. It fixes to a wall with surface wiring, and it is rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water from any direction. It also has an IK03 impact rating.

Questions People Ask

Does the LS 150 have a motion sensor? No. This version has no sensor and is switched on and off manually with a wall switch. Steinel makes a separate LS 150 S with a sensor.

What colour is the light? It is a neutral white 4000K, which is cooler than a warm white but not harsh.
