Steinel L 835 LED iHF Cubo - Silver

A Cube Wall Light That Switches Itself On

The Steinel L 835 LED iHF Cubo in silver is a compact outdoor sensor wall light with a frosted white cube diffuser. A hidden iHF sensor, which only responds to human movement, switches it on as someone approaches. It covers 160 degrees with a reach of up to 5 metres, and gives 616 lumens from 9.1W at 3000K warm white. It works as a neat outdoor security light for a front door, patio or side entrance, and you set it up from the Steinel app over Bluetooth.

Silver Bracket, Opal White Cube

This version has a silver backplate and a rounded opal plastic cube that glows softly when lit. Steinel also makes the range in anthracite, which suits darker walls. The silver sits well against render, pale brick and light cladding.

How It Works

The sensor uses Steinel's iHF technology, a high frequency system built into the fitting, so there is no visible sensor lens. You can adjust the reach between 1 and 5 metres. The on time can be set from 5 seconds to 60 minutes, and the twilight setting works from 2 to 2000 lux, so it only comes on when it is dark enough. The Steinel app, connected by Bluetooth, lets you change these settings and set the main light anywhere from 10 to 100 percent. There is a soft light start, a night light function that can run for 10 minutes, 30 minutes or all night, and a manual override that holds the light on for 4 hours. Several Steinel Bluetooth lights can be linked so they respond together. Steinel recommends a mounting height of 1.8 to 2.5 metres, with 2 metres ideal. The LED is built in and not replaceable, and Steinel quotes a life of 50,000 hours. It runs from a 220 to 240V mains supply and is a Class II fitting. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
