Steinel L 830 LED iHF Cubo - Silver

A Compact Cube Sensor Wall Light with Bluetooth

The Steinel L 830 LED iHF Cubo in silver is a small, cube shaped outdoor wall light with a built in motion sensor. It switches on when someone approaches and gives 523 lumens from 9.1W at 3000K warm white. A concealed 160 degree sensor reaches 5 metres, and you can adjust the settings over Bluetooth with the Steinel app. It suits anyone looking for a neat outdoor sensor light or LED security light for a front door or terrace.

Silver Bracket, Opal White Diffuser

This version has a silver finish on the side bracket, paired with a soft opal white plastic diffuser that wraps round the front of the cube. The same light is also made in anthracite, so choose silver if you want a lighter, brighter look against pale render, white paint or light stone. The sensor is hidden inside the housing, so there is no separate sensor head to spoil the clean lines.

How It Works

The sensor uses Steinel's iHF technology, an intelligent high frequency system that responds to human movement. Steinel states the 160 degree detection zone reaches 5 metres and can be adjusted on two axes. You can set the on time from 5 seconds to 60 minutes and the twilight level from 2 to 2000 lux, so it only comes on when it is dark enough. There is a night light function with a soft light start, and a 4 hour manual override at 3000K. The sensor works best at a mounting height of 1.8 to 2.5 metres, with 2 metres ideal. Several Steinel lights can be linked wirelessly over Bluetooth, and all settings are made in the Steinel app. The LED is integrated, with a CRI of 80 to 89. It runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply, is a Class II fitting, and is rated IP44 and IK03. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

Steinel suggests it for all round the building: a front door, a courtyard, a driveway, a garden, a terrace or a balcony. It is wall mounted with surface wiring, and at 110mm square it is small enough for tight spots beside a door or on a narrow wall. IP44 means it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
