A Curved Stainless Steel Wall Light for Entrances

The Steinel L 22 M is a designer outdoor wall light with a gently curved opal diffuser set in a stainless steel frame. This version has no motion sensor, so it works like any other outdoor wall light and is switched on and off from your wall switch. It takes one E27 lamp of up to 60W and gives an even, soft glow, which makes it a neat choice for lighting a front door or the front of a house.

Anthracite Finish with a Brushed Steel Look

The frame is finished in dark anthracite, and the curved cover is opal white plastic that spreads the light evenly instead of showing a bright point. The stainless steel trim around the edge and along the lower panel gives it a clean, architectural outline against brick, render or cladding. Steinel also makes a version of this light with a built in sensor, so check you have chosen the one without a sensor if you want a plain switched light.

How It Works

The fitting takes one E27 lamp, up to 60W, and the lamp is not included. You can choose the bulb and colour temperature yourself, and replace it when it fails. It runs from a 220 to 240V mains supply at 50 to 60Hz and is a Class II fitting, rated IP44 so it is protected against splashing water from any direction. Steinel suggests it for building entrances and building fronts: beside a front door, along the front of the house, on a terrace or balcony wall, or in a courtyard or driveway. It is wall mounted with surface wiring.
