Choosing Your Finish

This fixture comes in anthracite, a flat charcoal tone that recedes against most render, brick and stone rather than drawing attention to itself. SLV builds the Box across other finishes too, but anthracite is the one made for blending into a facade rather than standing out from it, which is why it tends to suit contemporary render and dark brick especially well.

How It Works

Behind the aluminium and glass body sit two opposed light outlets, one aimed up and one down, run from an R7s lamp holder rated up to 80W in total. Wire it into a 230 to 240V mains supply and both outlets light together, so the wall either side of the fixture is lit evenly from a single point.

Where It Works Best

The up and down spread suits long stretches of wall, pillars and gateposts where you want to trace the vertical line of the structure rather than just light a doorway. It reads less like a single lamp and more like the wall lighting itself.
