The Empire wall light borrows its shape from art deco chandeliers, tiering rows of faceted crystal into a cascade that narrows toward a single crystal ball at the base. Fitted with two lights behind the crystal, it throws a warm, sparkling glow across the wall rather than a flat wash, so it reads as a piece of jewellery for the room as much as a light source.

Chrome and Clear Crystal

This version pairs a cool chrome frame with clear crystal prisms, giving the light a bright, reflective finish that suits contemporary and traditional schemes alike. The clear glass throws the most sparkle of the Empire finishes, working well against white or pale walls where the reflections have room to travel.

Where It Works Best

At 30cm high and 20cm wide, it works well as a pair either side of a bed, mirror or fireplace, or on its own in a hallway or landing. Being IP44 rated, it can also go in a bathroom, provided it is kept clear of the direct spray from a shower or bath.

• Can this wall light go in a bathroom? Yes, it is rated IP44, which covers splashes and light spray, so it can be fitted outside the immediate shower or bath zone.
• What bulbs does it need? Two E14 candle bulbs, around 7W LED each, are recommended. Bulbs are not included.
• Is it dimmable? Yes, as long as dimmable bulbs are fitted and used with a compatible dimmer switch.
