Five Arms Bursting Outward, Flush or On the Wall

The Molecule Spark 5 sends five brass arms outward at differing angles from a central point, each tipped with a glass hemisphere, in the same sputnik like burst as the larger Spark Round chandeliers but scaled down to a flush ceiling or wall mounted size. It has more energy and asymmetry to its shape than the evenly spaced Molecule 8, despite covering a similar footprint.

In Frosted Glass

In frosted glass, the five hemispheres soften into gentle discs of even light, with no visible bulb or hot spot from any angle. Because the arms splay outward rather than lining up in a row, frosted glass helps unify the five separate light sources into one calm, ambient glow rather than five distinct points competing for attention.

Choose Your Finish

Available in Black Gunmetal or Lacquered Burnished Brass. Black Gunmetal keeps the arms dark and low key, so the eye goes straight to the five glowing globes. Lacquered Burnished Brass catches the light along each arm, adding a warm metallic sparkle to the burst shape itself.

How It Works

It takes 5 x 5W LED bulbs, included, at 2700K warm white and around 2250 to 2500 lumens combined. It is dimmable, but only with an electronic dimmer switch, and is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. Mounted flush, it spans 1069mm across, projects 925mm from the surface, and sits 284mm proud of the wall or ceiling. It weighs approximately 4.9kg.

Where It Works Best

Its wide, low profile spread suits a room with limited ceiling height, above a bed as a semi flush fitting, or on a large expanse of wall where a single sculptural piece is wanted instead of several smaller lights. It brings the same starburst energy as the bigger Spark Round chandeliers to spaces that can't take a hanging pendant.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. According to Schwung, every fitting is made to order in solid brass and mouth blown glass at the Namyslow workshop, with each of the five splayed arms on this piece set at its own angle by hand rather than to a fixed template.
