The Molecule Linear 14 arranges its fourteen glass spheres along a single straight brass spine rather than radiating them from a central point, giving it a much more architectural, directional silhouette than the Spark or Cluster chandeliers in the same family. It is built specifically for long, straight runs of table or worktop rather than a central point in a room.

In Transparent Glass

In transparent glass, the LED inside each of the fourteen spheres is fully visible along the full length of the spine, so the fitting reads as a continuous line of individual bright points rather than one glowing bar. It suits a room where the fitting's structure is meant to be seen clearly along its whole run.

Choose Your Finish

The frame is available in Black Gunmetal or Lacquered Burnished Brass. Black Gunmetal keeps the transparent spheres as the visual line, with the spine receding into the background, while Lacquered Burnished Brass lets the brass spine itself read as a warm, continuous line alongside the glass.

How It Works

The chandelier takes 14 x E27, 5W LED bulbs, included, at 2700K warm white and 70W total output. It is dimmable, but only with an electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmer, and is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms. The fitting measures approximately 1496mm long by 752mm wide, with a drop of around 937mm, and weighs approximately 14.2kg.

Where It Works Best

Its straight, linear format makes the Molecule Linear 14 a natural fit over a long dining table, a kitchen island, or a run of worktop, anywhere a radiating chandelier would look out of place against a rectangular run of furniture below. It needs a long enough space to let the full 1496mm spine sit centred over what it is lighting.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. According to Schwung, the Linear range applies the same solid brass and mouth blown glass construction as the radiating Molecule chandeliers to a single straight spine, giving the family a distinctly more architectural option alongside its sputnik style pieces.
