Three Across, Built for a Wider Mirror
The three light Kolt wall bar takes the same chrome and glass shade design and stretches it across a wider fitting, meant for a full width mirror rather than a single point of light.
The Chrome and the Glass
The finish is the same bright polished chrome as the rest of the range, with a central backplate and three matching arms. Each shade pairs a clear outer glass cylinder with a sandblasted opal glass sleeve inside it, so the working bulb is never visible directly, only its glow through the frosted layer. In the lifestyle photograph, mounted above a bathroom mirror, the three shades read as one continuous line of soft light rather than three separate bulbs.
How It Works
Three 3.5W LED G9 bulbs are needed, none supplied. It dims if you fit dimmable G9 lamps, since there is no dimmer built into the fitting. This is a Class I fitting and needs an earth connection, and as a hardwired wall light it should be fitted by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
IP44 rated for bathroom use, though it is still worth checking your wall against our bathroom lighting zones guide before fitting near a bath or shower. At 53.3cm wide, this is the widest wall mounted option in the Kolt bathroom range, built for a full width vanity mirror where the single or two light versions would leave the ends of the mirror comparatively dark.
The Glasswork Behind the Name
Quoizel built much of its early reputation on stained glass, particularly Tiffany style work that started in table lamps and spread into chandeliers, pendants and wall fittings over the following decades. The Kolt range does not use coloured glass, but the two layer construction, clear outer glass over a sandblasted inner sleeve, comes from the same instinct, that glass should shape and soften light rather than just cover a bulb.
