Guardian's Honeycomb Cage in Brushed Nickel

Guardian takes the flush ceiling shape and wraps it in a honeycomb of small hexagonal panels, each one glowing softly through white opal glass. In Brushed Nickel the metalwork reads cool and understated rather than shiny, so the pattern does the talking.

Choosing Your Finish

This Guardian is finished in Brushed Nickel, a soft satin metal rather than a mirror polish, visible clearly in the close up shots of the honeycomb frame and the two tiered finial at the centre of the glass. The same cage design is also made in Painted Natural Brass if you want a warmer tone on the same fitting.

How It Works

Guardian takes two E27 LED lamps, not included, so you can choose your own brightness and colour temperature. The wiring is Class I, meaning it needs an earth connection, so we recommend having it fitted by a qualified electrician. Dimmable lamps will let it work on a dimmer switch, standard lamps will not dim. It is IP44 rated, so it stands up to the humidity and splashing typical of a bathroom ceiling.

Where It Works Best

At 34.5cm across and 14.2cm deep, Guardian is a step up in scale from the smaller Chance flush fitting, so it suits a larger bathroom ceiling or a hallway where you want a bit more presence overhead. Being IP44 rated, it can be fitted in any of the bathroom lighting zones that call for that level of protection. The Painted Natural Brass version shares exactly the same dimensions, so finish is the only real choice between the two.
