Quintiesse Wellington Single Bathroom Wall Light - Polished Chrome

The Wellington single wall light takes a vintage inspired shape and reworks it in a cooler, more contemporary palette. Standing tall on the wall despite a compact footprint, it combines a polished chrome frame in aluminium with a clear seeded glass shade that has been etched on the inside, giving the light a soft, textured glow rather than a hard direct beam.

The polished chrome finish

Here the Wellington is built from aluminium with a bright polished chrome finish, a cleaner and cooler look than the brand's warmer metal options. The clear seeded glass shade has a naturally uneven, bubbled texture, with an inside etch that softens the light from the bulb before it reaches the room. Together they give the fitting a crisp, slightly industrial edge that suits contemporary bathrooms, monochrome schemes and anywhere chrome taps or fittings are already in play.

How it works

It is fitted for a single E27 bulb, which is not included, so you can pick the finish and warmth of light you prefer. Dimming is possible, but only when dimmable bulbs are used. As a Class I fitting it needs to be wired into an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, this Wellington is designed for humid, splash prone environments, so it works well flanking a mirror or basin in bathroom zones 2 and 3, the areas away from the immediate splash zone of a bath or shower. Do check the zone requirements for your particular bathroom before ordering. Its slim 12.1cm projection and wall mounted fixing also make it a good option for a cloakroom, ensuite or narrow landing where a pendant or wide fitting simply would not fit.
