Quintiesse Urban Restoration 3 Light Bathroom Semi-Flush Fitting - Dark Antique Brass

The Urban Restoration semi flush fitting brings an industrial, workshop era character to the ceiling. Three lamps sit inside an exposed steel cage, a look inspired by old factory lighting but scaled and finished for a home bathroom. Because it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a cord, it works well in rooms where headroom is limited.

The Dark Antique Brass finish

The frame is steel, given a dark antique brass finish that reads warm and slightly weathered rather than shiny. Each of the three lamp positions is fitted with an optical glass shade, which adds a bit of clarity and shine against the darker metalwork. It sits comfortably alongside aged brass taps, dark metal mirror frames, or other industrial style fittings.

How it works

This fitting takes 3 x E27 bulbs, which are not supplied. It will dim if fitted with dimmable bulbs, but not otherwise. It's rated Class I, so it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it's protected against splashes and light moisture, suiting bathroom zones 2 and 3.

Where it works best

At 14.9cm high and 65.4cm across, it gives a wide spread of light from a fairly shallow ceiling fixing, which makes it a good option for bathrooms with standard or lower ceiling heights where a hanging pendant wouldn't suit. It also works well in a hallway, landing or dressing area where you want a period feel without visible cord or chain.
