The two light Scholar sits in the middle of the range, pairing a matching set of schoolhouse shades on a single steel backplate. It's the size most people reach for above a standard bathroom vanity unit, wide enough to spread light evenly across a mirror without needing the wall space the largest three light version asks for.
Polished Chrome finish
Steel arms and backplate are finished in Polished Chrome, a bright, cool plating that stays clean looking with regular wiping rather than showing fingerprints the way a softer finish might. The two shades are clear seeded glass, each with its own subtle texture and small air bubbles, so no two ever look quite identical even within the same fitting.
How it works
It takes 2 x E27 LED bulbs, not supplied. Dimming is possible, but only if you fit dimmable LED bulbs, plain LEDs won't respond to a dimmer switch. As a Class I fitting it requires an earthed supply and should always be wired in by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it's protected against water splashed from any angle, which is exactly what you want directly above a basin.
Where it works best
At 44.9cm wide and 2.6kg, this is a practical choice either side of a mirror or centred above a single vanity in a family bathroom or ensuite. Its IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, the zones outside the immediate splash area around a bath or shower, so it's worth checking your own layout against current UK wiring regulations before fitting.
