Finished in a deep oil rubbed bronze, this single light Hadrian flush fitting has a darker, more dramatic presence than the brand's lighter metal finishes, and the clear glass shade means the bulb itself is visible rather than hidden, so the shape of bulb you choose has a real effect on the finished look.

Oil rubbed bronze has a dark, almost blackened tone with warm undertones showing through, which suits bathrooms with darker tiling, matt black fittings or a more traditional colour scheme. The clear glass shade doesn't diffuse the light the way an opal shade would, so expect a slightly brighter, more focused beam from the single bulb inside.

How it works

Takes 1 x E27 bulb, not supplied, and dims only when a dimmable bulb is fitted, there's no dimmer switch built into the fitting. It's Class I, so it needs an earthed supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician. Its IP44 rating covers protection from splashing water, which brings it into bathroom zones 2 and 3, though you'll want to check the zone rules for your own bathroom, our bathroom lighting guide covers this in more detail. Measuring 19.6cm in diameter and 18.5cm in height, it's a neat fit for a cloakroom or en suite, or as a pair either side of a mirror where you want the light itself, not just the glow, to read as part of the scheme.
