Felixstowe in breton blue brings a stronger note of colour to the bathroom wall, keeping the same curved arm and chamfer detailed backplate as the rest of the range but pairing it with a shade in a deep blue tone rather than a neutral one.
A breton shade in blue
The frame is steel, finished in polished chrome, and the shade is a faux silk fabric in blue with a breton style pleat. It is a fitting suited to bathrooms where you want the lighting to add a deliberate colour accent, working well against white or pale tiling, navy or marine themed decor, or brass and chrome fittings that benefit from a stronger tone nearby.
How it works
It takes 1 x 3W LED G9 bulb, not supplied. Fit dimmable G9 bulbs and it will dim; fit standard ones and it will operate as an on/off fitting. As a Class I fitting it requires an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. It carries an IP44 rating, so it is protected against splashing water, and its wall fixings are included.
Where it works best
At 40.6cm high with a 16.2cm projection, Felixstowe suits bathroom walls either side of a mirror or above a vanity, where its compact footprint means it will not crowd the space. Thanks to its IP44 rating it is suitable for use in bathroom zones 2 and 3, the areas outside the immediate splash zone around a bath or shower, though it is worth checking the zone requirements for your particular bathroom layout.
