The Azores 2 light wall light brings a vintage industrial silhouette to bathroom lighting, its two cylindrical shades sitting horizontally along a slim steel bar so light spreads evenly across a mirror or vanity run. In chrome, the fixture reads clean and contemporary, a compact fitting sized for pairing either side of a mirror or above a basin.
The chrome finish
Cast in steel and polished to a bright chrome, this finish has a cool, reflective quality that sits comfortably against white sanitaryware, tiled walls, and brushed steel taps. Each shade is fitted with clear fluted glass, its vertical ribbing catching and softening the light rather than exposing the lamp directly. The combined effect is crisp and a little retro, at home in a modern bathroom that still wants some period character.
How it works
The fitting takes 2 x E14 LED lamps, which are not supplied. It dims only if dimmable E14 bulbs are fitted; standard LEDs will not dim even on a compatible circuit. This is a Class I fitting, so it needs an earthed supply and should be installed by a qualified electrician. It carries an IP44 rating, which means it is protected against splashes and light moisture, suitable for the more exposed spots in a bathroom such as beside a mirror or basin.
Where it works best
At 40.7cm wide and just 11.5cm high, this is a fitting sized for flanking a mirror or vanity unit rather than dominating a wall, and at 1.9kg it mounts easily without needing special fixings. Consider it either side of a bathroom mirror for shadow free grooming light, or centred above a basin in a cloakroom or ensuite.
