Quintiesse Ashland Bay 2 Light Bathroom Wall Light - Natural Brass

Ashland Bay takes its cue from New England boat houses and coastal cottages, pairing a pair of clear seeded glass shades with a warm natural brass frame. It has the relaxed, collected look of a fitting that has always been there, giving softened light without the stark glare of an open bulb.

Natural brass finish

The frame is finished in natural brass, a warm, slightly aged metal tone that develops its own character over time rather than staying showroom bright. It sits comfortably against warm woods, marble topped vanities and traditional or coastal bathroom schemes, and pairs naturally with the clear seeded glass shades, whose gentle texture and trapped air bubbles catch the light rather than showing it in a flat sheet.

How it works

Two E27 fittings take standard bulbs, which are not supplied. Fit dimmable bulbs and it will dim smoothly; with standard bulbs it will simply switch on and off. Rated IP44, it is protected against splashing water, so it can be safely wall mounted in a bathroom provided it sits outside the immediate splash zone around a bath or shower.

Where it works best

At 36.2cm wide, this is a good width for mounting either side of a mirror above a single vanity basin, giving even, shadow free light across the face for shaving and make up. It also works well as a pair flanking a mirror in an en suite or family bathroom.
