Quintiesse Addison 2 Light Bathroom Wall Light - Polished Chrome

Step up from a single sconce and the Addison 2 light wall fitting gives a bathroom a bit more presence, spreading two shades of clear ribbed glass along a horizontal steel bar. It suits mounting centrally above a mirror or basin, where a single light might feel a touch mean, without tipping into the scale of a full vanity bar.

Polished chrome finish

Polished chrome runs through the bar and the two fittings that carry the glass, giving a bright, mirror like surface that plays well off tiled walls and chrome bathroom fixtures. The clear ribbed glass shades add a fine vertical texture that diffuses the light gently rather than casting a hard, single point glare, useful when you are lighting a mirror for shaving or make up.

How it works

Two lamps are fitted, each taking a 3W LED G9 bulb, and bulbs are not included so you can choose your own colour temperature. Dimming works only if dimmable G9 bulbs are fitted, an ordinary G9 bulb will not respond to a dimmer switch. Like the rest of the range it can be mounted facing up or down. It is a Class I fitting, which means it needs an earthed electrical supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician. The IP44 rating means it is protected against splashes, and Quintiesse positions this as suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, outside the immediate splash zone around a bath or shower, so check your own bathroom's zone layout before choosing where to fit it.

Where it works best

At 40.6cm wide, this sits in the middle ground, wide enough to sit centrally above a standard vanity basin and give even light across a mirror, but compact enough for bathrooms that cannot take a full width bar. At 3.5kg it is light enough to fix with standard wall fixings in most stud or masonry walls.
