Nuura Liila 1 Light Small IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Nordic Gold & Optic Clear Glass

Liila 1 Small is the most compact fitting in Nuura's Liila collection, a single mouth blown glass sphere set just off a slim, circular metal backplate. It's a quiet, deliberately understated shape, small enough to tuck into corners and tight spots where a full sized wall or ceiling light would feel like too much.

Nordic Gold and optic clear glass

This version pairs a warm, brushed Nordic Gold backplate with an optic clear glass globe, its surface lightly faceted so the light catches and sparkles rather than sitting flat. It's a brighter, more jewel like read than the opal alternative, and works well wherever you want a small hit of gold and a glint of light rather than a diffused glow.

How it works

Liila 1 Small takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 7W, and can be installed as either a wall light or a flush ceiling fitting depending on where it's needed. It's hardwired, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings. The fitting measures roughly 14cm across and 14.9cm deep from the wall or ceiling.

Where it works best

Its small footprint makes Liila 1 Small useful in hallways, on landings, either side of a bathroom mirror, or dotted along a corridor where a run of small lights works better than one large fixture. It's also an easy way to add a bit of ambient light to a corner that a pendant or larger wall light can't reach.

About Nuura

Sofie Refer founded Nuura in Copenhagen in 2017 alongside Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, with a focus on hand finished glass and considered metalwork. Liila 1 is the smallest expression of that approach, a single glass sphere reduced to its simplest form.
