Nuura Liila 1 Light Small IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Nordic Gold & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Small is the most compact wall or ceiling light in Nuura's Liila collection, a single hand blown glass sphere set on a slim, circular metal backplate. It's built to sit almost flush to the wall, so the glass itself becomes the visual focus rather than the fitting around it.

Nordic gold and opal glass

This version pairs the warm, brushed Nordic Gold finish with an opal white glass globe. The opal glass gives an even, softly diffused glow across the whole sphere, while the gold backplate adds a small warm accent behind it, more of a glint than a statement given how little metal is on show at this size. It works nicely repeated along a hallway or stacked either side of a mirror, and suits interiors that already lean towards brass or warm gold tones.

How it works

Liila 1 Small takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and can be fitted as a wall light or a flush ceiling light. Being hardwired, it needs to be installed by a qualified electrician. It measures around Ø14cm and projects roughly 14.9cm from the surface, on a circular backplate of about 10cm.

Where it works best

Its small footprint makes it useful in the tightest spots, box rooms, narrow hallways, under stairs, or as a pair flanking a mirror or doorway. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it sits within a zone that allows IP44 fittings, as explained in our bathroom lighting zones guide.

Danish brand Nuura was founded in Copenhagen in 2017 by Sofie Refer, Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg. Liila is one of its most compact collections, built entirely around the idea of a single glass sphere rather than a cluster of shades or arms.
