Nuura Liila 1 Light Small IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Black & Optic Clear Glass

Liila 1 Small is the most compact lamp in Nuura's Liila collection, built around a single hand blown glass globe. A slim, circular backplate in black metal holds the glass just off the wall or ceiling, keeping the whole fitting close and unobtrusive.

This version combines a black metal backplate with an optic clear glass globe, its surface given a fine, ribbed texture rather than left smooth. That texture catches the light as it passes through, breaking it into small individual highlights across the glass rather than one flat glow, while the black finish keeps the piece quiet enough to blend into most corners without drawing attention to the fitting itself.

How it works

Liila 1 Small takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and is designed to be used interchangeably as a wall light or a flush ceiling light. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. The fitting measures roughly 14cm across and projects 14.9cm from the wall or ceiling, with a 10cm backplate, making it the smallest option in the Liila range.

Where it works best

Its small footprint makes Liila 1 Small a good fit for corners of larger rooms, as an atmospheric addition alongside existing lighting rather than a room's main source, or dotted along a hallway. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings.
