Nuura Liila 1 Light Small IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Black & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Small brings the Liila collection's single sphere design down to its most compact scale, a mouth blown glass globe held just off a slim, circular metal backplate. It's built for spaces too small or too awkward for a full sized wall or ceiling light, without giving up the collection's soft, sculptural character.

Black finish and opal glass

This version combines a black metal backplate with an opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses light evenly across the whole sphere for a soft, gentle glow with no visible light source, while the black finish keeps the overall look understated and easy to place against most colour schemes.

How it works

It takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 7W, and is designed to be used interchangeably as a wall light or flush ceiling fitting depending on where you need it. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings. The fitting measures roughly 14cm across and 14.9cm deep from the wall or ceiling.

Where it works best

Because of its small footprint, Liila 1 Small suits spaces where a pendant would feel too heavy, hallways, small landings, either side of a bathroom mirror, or low ceilinged rooms. It also works well repeated at intervals along a corridor or staircase wall.

About Nuura

Copenhagen based Nuura was founded in 2017 by Sofie Refer with Nadia Lassen and Peter Østerberg, and remains known for its handling of mouth blown glass. Liila, the collection this piece belongs to, is built entirely around the idea of a single glowing sphere rather than a cluster or chandelier.
