Nuura Liila 1 Light Medium IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Light Silver & Optic Clear Glass

Liila 1 Medium is a small, sculptural wall or ceiling light built around a single hand blown glass sphere. A slim, circular backplate in light silver metal holds the glass just off the wall or ceiling, so the sphere reads almost as if it's floating.

This version pairs a light silver metal backplate with an optic clear glass sphere, its surface finished with a fine, ribbed texture rather than left smooth. That texture catches the light as it passes through, breaking it into small individual highlights across the glass rather than one flat glow, while the light silver finish keeps the whole piece cool and easy to place against most colour schemes.

How it works

Liila 1 Medium takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and is designed to be used interchangeably as a wall light or a flush ceiling light. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. The glass sphere measures roughly 14cm across, with the fitting as a whole around 16.5cm wide and 17cm deep from the wall or ceiling.

Where it works best

Because of its small footprint, Liila 1 Medium suits spaces where a pendant would feel too heavy, hallways, small landings, either side of a bathroom mirror, or low ceilinged rooms. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings.
