Nuura Liila 1 Light Medium IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Light Silver & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Medium is a small, sculptural wall or ceiling light, built around a single hand blown glass sphere held slightly proud of the wall by a slim circular backplate. It belongs to Nuura's Liila collection, where the idea is always the same, one glass form, quietly lit, rather than a cluster of shades competing for attention.

Light silver and opal glass

This version brings together a light silver backplate, a cool, softly brushed metal, with an opal white glass sphere. The opal glass spreads the light evenly across its whole surface, so the sphere glows all over rather than showing a bright point where the lamp sits, and the silver finish keeps the overall look crisp and understated. It reads well in pale, contemporary schemes, alongside chrome or stainless fittings, and in bathrooms or hallways finished in white, grey or soft blue.

How it works

It runs on a single G9 lamp (7W) and can be fitted as a wall light or a flush ceiling light. Being hardwired, it needs a qualified electrician for installation rather than a plug. It measures around Ø16.5cm and projects about 17cm from the surface, on a circular backplate roughly 10cm in diameter.

Where it works best

Because it takes up so little visual space, Liila 1 Medium works well anywhere a full sized pendant would feel too much, narrow hallways, small landings, or either side of a bathroom mirror. It carries an IP44 rating, so it's suitable for installation in a bathroom, as long as it sits in a zone that allows IP44 fittings.
