Nuura Liila 1 Light Medium IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Black & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Medium is a small, sculptural wall or ceiling light built around a single hand blown glass sphere. A slim, circular backplate in black metal holds the glass just off the wall or ceiling, so the sphere reads almost as if it's floating. It's a quiet, confident shape that works equally well as a single accent or repeated in a row.

Black finish and opal glass

This version combines a black metal backplate with an opal white glass sphere. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly through the whole surface of the globe, giving a soft, gentle glow rather than a sharp point of light, while the black finish keeps the overall look understated and easy to place against most colour schemes.

How it works

Liila 1 Medium takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and is designed to be used interchangeably as a wall light or a flush ceiling light, depending on where you need it. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. The glass sphere measures roughly 14cm across, with the fitting as a whole around 16.5cm wide and 17cm deep from the wall or ceiling.

Where it works best

Because of its small footprint, Liila 1 Medium suits spaces where a pendant would feel too heavy, hallways, small landings, either side of a bathroom mirror, or low ceilinged rooms. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings.
