Nuura Liila 1 Light Large IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Nordic Gold & Optic Clear Glass

Liila 1 Large is the biggest of the single sphere Liila wall and ceiling lights, built around a larger hand blown glass globe on a slim circular metal backplate. It has the same quiet, floating character as the smaller sizes in the range, just with enough scale to hold its own as a single fitting rather than needing to be grouped.

Nordic Gold and optic clear glass

This version pairs a warm Nordic Gold backplate with optic clear glass, its lightly faceted surface letting the light source glint through rather than disappear into an even haze. Against brass hardware or warm wood tones, it reads as a confident, slightly glamorous finishing touch.

How it works

Liila 1 Large takes a single G9 lamp, rated up to 7W, and works as either a wall light or a flush ceiling fitting. It's a hardwired fixture and must be connected by a qualified electrician rather than plugged in. The globe and backplate together measure around 25.5cm across and 23cm deep, with a 14cm backplate, making it noticeably more substantial than the Medium or Small versions.

Where it works best

Because of its larger scale, Liila 1 Large works well as a standalone fitting either side of a bed, in a hallway with higher ceilings, or above a console table where a small light would look lost. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings.
