Nuura Liila 1 Light Large IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Nordic Gold & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Large is a bigger scale version of the collection's single sphere wall and ceiling light, built around one larger hand blown glass globe held just off the surface by a slim, circular metal backplate. It keeps the same quiet, floating look as the smaller Liila 1 fittings, just with a bit more visual weight.

Nordic gold finish and opal glass

This version pairs a nordic gold backplate with an opal white glass globe. The opal glass diffuses the light evenly across the whole sphere for a soft, gentle glow, and the warm gold tone gives the metalwork a subtle richness rather than a plain shine.

How it works

Liila 1 Large takes a single G9 lamp (7W) and can be used interchangeably as a wall light or a flush ceiling light. The fitting measures around 25.5cm across and 23cm deep, with a 20cm glass globe. It's a hardwired fixture, so it needs to be connected by a qualified electrician.

Where it works best

With an IP44 rating, Liila 1 Large is suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it's positioned in a zone that permits IP44 fittings, and it also works well in hallways or entrance halls where a single larger light is wanted. Questions People Ask

Does the Liila 1 Large need an electrician to install? This is a hardwired Class I fitting that can be fitted to a wall or ceiling. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Can I return it if I change my mind? No. Nuura fittings are made to order, so they are non-returnable once ordered, unless an item arrives faulty.

What bulb does it take, and can it be dimmed? It takes one G9 LED lamp of up to 7W, which is not supplied. It can be dimmed if installed with a dimmable LED lamp suitable for your dimmer circuit.

Can I use it in a bathroom? It is IP44 rated, so it is protected against water splashes from any direction and can be used in bathroom zones that permit IP44 fittings.

How big is it? The backplate and fitting measure 255mm across and 230mm deep, with a globe 200mm in diameter. It weighs 1.2kg.

Will the glass and gold finish match the photos exactly? Not always. The opal glass is mouth blown and the nordic gold finish is hand finished, so each piece can differ slightly, and screens show colour differently. Please call customer service if you want to check the exact colour.
