Nuura Liila 1 Light Large IP44 Wall/Flush Light - Dark Bronze & Opal Glass

Liila 1 Large is the biggest of the three sizes in Nuura's Liila collection, still built around a single hand blown glass sphere, but with enough scale to work as a standalone feature rather than a small accent. A slim circular backplate holds the glass a little proud of the wall or ceiling, so it reads almost like a floating orb.

Dark bronze and opal glass

This version brings a dark bronze backplate, deep and slightly antiqued in character, together with an opal white glass sphere. At this larger size the opal glass gives a broad, even wash of soft light across the whole globe, while the dark bronze sits quietly behind it rather than competing for attention. It suits darker or more traditionally toned rooms, aged brass details, dark timber, or deep painted walls.

How it works

Liila 1 Large uses a single G9 lamp (7W) and can be fitted as a wall light or a flush ceiling light. It's hardwired, so installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician. It measures around Ø25.5cm and projects roughly 23cm from the surface, on a circular backplate of about 14cm.

Where it works best

Its larger scale suits it to bigger hallways, stairwells and entrance spaces where a bit more presence is welcome, or as a statement either side of a bed or a large mirror. With an IP44 rating, it's also suitable for installation in a bathroom, provided it sits in a zone that permits IP44 fittings, as set out in our bathroom lighting zones guide.
