Matte White Striped and IP44: Clean Craft in a Tall Bathroom Pendant
The Senna IP44 Pendant in Matte White Striped is a 26cm tall, 12cm wide bathroom pendant that combines clean graphic precision with the taller, cylindrical form of the Senna range and a full IP44 waterproof certification. The matte white ground and fine hand painted stripes give it a crispness and considered quality that is genuinely rare in IP44 bathroom pendants. At 26cm tall it is the tallest of the Mullan IP44 pendant range and that height gives it a proper architectural presence above a bath, particularly in bathrooms with higher ceilings.
How It Works
The open ceramic shade faces downward, directing the E27 bulb's light into the room. At 12cm wide the light is focused into a concentrated pool below. The matte white surface reflects light cleanly at the ceramic rim. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs for full mood control.
Where It Works Best
Above a freestanding bath the Matte White Striped Senna IP44 Pendant creates a clean, fresh focal point. The tall, cylindrical form is particularly effective in bathrooms with higher ceilings. The matte white striped finish pairs with virtually any tapware finish and tile combination.
The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The matte white striped finish reflects the bleached stone and whitewashed plaster of the historic buildings surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs
Which bathroom zone is this rated for?
The Senna IP44 Pendant is rated for Zone 2, the area beyond 0.6m from the edge of a bath or shower. It is not suitable for Zone 0 or Zone 1.
Will the stripes be perfectly even?
No, and that is intentional. The stripes are hand painted so there is natural variation in width and spacing.
What bulb does this take?
E27 screw fit, maximum 6.5W. Bulb not included. A warm white dimmable LED E27 works well in a bathroom setting.
Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.
Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
