Matte White Striped and IP44: Clean Craft in a Tall Bathroom Pendant
The Parva Pendant in Matte White Striped is a 30cm tall, 14cm wide IP44 rated bathroom pendant that brings clean graphic precision and genuine handmade craft quality into the bathroom in a tall, architectural form. A glass diffuser provides the IP44 certification while the matte white striped ceramic body does the visual work above it. The matte white ground and fine hand painted stripes give it a crispness and considered quality that is genuinely rare in IP44 bathroom pendants.
How It Works
The glass diffuser at the base provides IP44 compliance and distributes the E27 bulb's light downward and outward into the bathroom. The tall matte white striped ceramic body sits above, the white surface brightening the ceiling area around the pendant. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs for full mood control.
Where It Works Best
Above a freestanding bath the Matte White Striped Parva creates a clean, fresh focal point that makes the bathroom feel genuinely designed. In a shower room or wet room with white metro tiles, natural stone or pale plaster it feels completely at home. The matte white striped finish pairs with virtually any tapware finish and tile combination.
The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The matte white striped finish reflects the bleached stone and whitewashed plaster of the historic buildings surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs
Which bathroom zone is this rated for?
The Parva Pendant is IP44 rated for Zone 2, the area beyond 0.6m from the edge of a bath or shower. It is not suitable for Zone 0 or Zone 1.
Will the stripes be perfectly even?
No, and that is intentional. The stripes are hand painted so there is natural variation in width and spacing.
What bulb does this take?
E27 screw fit, maximum 6.5W. Bulb not included. A warm white dimmable LED E27 works well in a bathroom setting.
Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.
Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
