The Parva Pendant in Marbled finish is a 30cm tall, 14cm wide IP44 rated bathroom pendant with the timeless visual quality of hand painted marbled ceramic in a tall, upright form. A glass diffuser provides the IP44 certification while the marbled ceramic body does the visual work above it. The swirling tones of cream, warm grey and natural stone are applied individually at Mullan Village before firing. No two pieces carry an identical pattern. The result is a bathroom pendant of genuine luxury, a fitting that brings the quality of a carefully considered decorative piece into a space that demands practical water resistance.

How It Works

The glass diffuser at the base provides IP44 compliance and distributes the E27 bulb's light downward and outward into the bathroom. The tall marbled ceramic body sits above, the tones reading differently in natural daylight and warm evening light. A warm white dimmable E27 LED suits the marbled finish well in a bathroom setting.

The Story Behind Mullan

Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. Ceramicist Stephen Kieran developed the marbling technique by drawing on the layered stone and mineral textures of the Irish landscape. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs

Which bathroom zone is this rated for?
The Parva Pendant is IP44 rated for Zone 2, the area beyond 0.6m from the edge of a bath or shower. It is not suitable for Zone 0 or Zone 1.

Will my pendant look exactly like the photo?
The marbling is hand painted so the pattern on your piece will differ from the photos. The tones will be consistent but the character of the marbling is unique to every piece.

What bulb does this take?
E27 screw fit, maximum 6.5W. Bulb not included. A warm white dimmable LED E27 suits the marbled finish.

Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.

Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
