Matte White Striped and IP44: Clean Craft Above the Bath
The Osier IP44 Pendant in Matte White Striped is a 22cm tall, 11.5cm wide bathroom pendant that combines the slender, upright character of the Osier range with the clean graphic precision of the matte white striped ceramic finish and a full IP44 waterproof certification. At just 11.5cm wide it has a more architectural presence above a bath than broader pendants. The matte white ground and fine hand painted stripes give it a crispness and considered quality that is genuinely rare in IP44 bathroom pendants. Group two above a longer bath for a clean, cohesive arrangement.
How It Works
The open ceramic shade faces downward, directing the E27 bulb's light into the room. The matte white surface reflects light cleanly at the slim ceramic rim, adding a brightness and freshness to the ceiling above the bath. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs for full mood control.
Where It Works Best
Above a freestanding bath the Matte White Striped Osier IP44 Pendant creates a clean, fresh focal point that makes the bathroom feel genuinely designed. In a shower room, wet room or humid bathroom it brings handmade craft quality to a practical space. The matte white striped finish pairs beautifully with white metro tiles, natural stone, pale plaster and any tapware finish from brushed gold to polished chrome.
The Story Behind Mullan
Mullan Lighting was founded in 2009 by architect Mike Treanor, who restored a derelict 19th century flax mill in Mullan Village, County Monaghan. The matte white striped finish reflects the bleached stone and whitewashed plaster of the historic buildings surrounding the village. Over 100 craftspeople work at the studio and every piece is made to order using sustainable clay and recycled brass.

FAQs
Which bathroom zone is this rated for?
The Osier IP44 Pendant is rated for Zone 2, the area beyond 0.6m from the edge of a bath or shower. It is not suitable for Zone 0 or Zone 1.
Will the stripes be perfectly even?
No, and that is intentional. The stripes are hand painted so there is natural variation in width and spacing. The overall impression is clean and graphic but up close you can see it was made by a person.
What bulb does this take?
E27 screw fit, maximum 6.5W. Bulb not included. A warm white dimmable LED E27 works well in a bathroom setting.
Can I use a dimmable bulb?
Yes. Compatible with dimmable E27 LED bulbs. Ensure your dimmer switch is rated for LED use. Bulb not included.
Can I return it?
No. Every Mullan light is made to order, so it cannot be returned unless it arrives faulty or damaged. If anything is wrong when it arrives, please contact us as soon as possible.
