Choosing Your Lotus

This is the shortest of the Lotus lengths, at 1.2m, and comes in Mantra's deep matte black. The same bar is also available in white, anthracite and rust bronze, and in a taller 1.4m size. Black gives the strongest contrast against light walls and suits schemes built around black ironmongery, black framed windows or dark metal furniture legs, whereas the lighter finishes sit back into the wall more. If the wall run is longer, or a bolder scale statement is wanted, the 1.4m size adds output as well as length.

How It Works

A single 18W integrated LED runs the length of the bar, delivering 1900lm at a warm 3000K colour temperature over a 120° beam. Light spreads from both long edges of the profile, giving a soft wash rather than a defined beam, and the fixture is wired as Class I, so it must be properly earthed on installation. It carries an IP54 rating, making it tolerant of steam and light splashing.

Where It Works Best

Being the compact end of the Lotus range, the 1.2m black bar suits tighter runs of wall, either side of a mirror, above a console table, or in a narrower hallway where the 1.4m version would feel oversized.
