A Cloud Shaped Light Built For Damp Rooms And Sheltered Outdoor Spots

Eos takes an organic, cloud like silhouette and moulds it from tough polyethylene rather than glass, then rates the finished fitting to IP44 so it can go where a standard ceiling light cannot. It reads as a soft, sculptural shape by day and glows evenly across its whole surface once lit, rather than showing a single hot spot.

Finished In White

This Eos comes in matte white, moulded polyethylene over a white powder coated metal backplate, a combination chosen to blend into a painted ceiling rather than stand out from it. The plain, unbroken finish also suits the fitting's four lamp design, since there is no visible ring or frame to distract from the cloud shape itself.

How It Works

This version of Eos holds four E27 lamp holders, each rated to a maximum of 15W, with an LED GLS shaped lamp recommended (bulbs are not supplied), so you choose your own brightness and colour temperature through the lamps you fit rather than a fixed integrated LED. It is wired to Class I, meaning it needs a proper earth connection, and carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water. The fitting measures 50cm long, 49cm wide and 18cm high, and some simple onsite assembly is needed to get it looking its best.

Where It Works Best

The same rating also covers sheltered outdoor spots such as a covered porch or car port, though it is not built for spaces exposed to direct, driving rain. With four lamp holders it also throws a good amount of light for its size, useful over a bath or in a larger ensuite where a single lamp fitting would leave dim corners.
