A Small Powder Coated Recessed Step Light
The LuxR Modux 4 Step Light is a small low voltage recessed light that gives a horizontal wash, 5º below the flange lip and 10º above it. The body is 41mm across and 62mm long, with an 11mm deep flange.
UV Powder Coated Aluminium in Four Colours
This version is made from UV powder coated aluminium. Matt Black is the quietest choice against dark brick or paving, Matt Bronze suits warmer stone and timber, and Matt White or Matt Dark Grey can match painted walls and render. The light source is a replaceable 4 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Options
- Colour: Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt White or Matt Dark Grey.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
The body is set into a cut-out of 43.5mm and throws a horizontal wash across the surface. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it to light the wall beside step treads, the treads themselves, the space above a doorway, or as a path wayfinder. It is also available in the Micro and M2.
