A Small Stainless Steel Square Recessed Spotlight
The LuxR Modux 4 Square Recessed is a small low voltage outdoor spotlight that sits flush in a surface with a neat square flange. The listing gives an eyelid depth of 3.5mm, so it sits very low profile.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This version is precision machined from marine grade 316 stainless steel, which keeps a crisp, cool silver look outdoors. It sits well in contemporary stone, render and slate. The light source is a replaceable 4 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens
- Beam: 26º is the narrowest for a single feature, 36º suits a wider subject, and 74º is the widest for a broad spread of light.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
- Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.
How It Works
The fitting is recessed into a surface with the square flange showing. It runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it where you want a tidy square detail set into a wall, step riser or paved surface. It is also available in the M1 and M2.

What cut-out size do I need?

Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Is the stainless steel suitable for outdoors?
Yes. It is marine grade 316 stainless steel and the fitting is rated IP68.
Which beam angle should I choose?

Can I change the LED later?
