A Small Powder Coated Square Recessed Spotlight

The LuxR Modux 4 Square Recessed is a small low voltage outdoor spotlight that sits flush in a surface with a neat square flange. The body is 41mm across and 62mm long, and the flange is 53mm wide and only 3mm deep.

UV Powder Coated Aluminium in Four Colours

This version is made from UV powder coated aluminium. Matt Black disappears into dark paving, Matt Bronze suits warmer stone and timber, and Matt White or Matt Dark Grey can match a painted wall or render. The light source is a replaceable 4 watt Cree chip with a CRI of 90 plus.

Choose Your Options

• Colour: Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt White or Matt Dark Grey.
• Colour temperature and beam: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white. Beams are 26º for a single feature, 36º for a wider subject and 74º for a broad spread of light.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

The body is set into a cut-out of 43.5mm with the square flange sitting at the surface. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it where you want a tidy square detail set into a wall, step riser or paved surface. It is also available in the M1 and M2.

What cut-out size do I need?

The cut-out is 43.5mm. The body is 41mm in diameter and 62mm long, and the square flange is 53mm wide.

Does it come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

Which colours can I choose?
