A Small Powder Coated Spike Spot with a Glare Guard

The LuxR Modux 4 Spike Spot with Glare Guard is a small low voltage garden spotlight with the glare guard included. The body is 41mm across and 115mm long, and it sits on a solid 175mm spike that pushes into the soil.

UV Powder Coated Aluminium in Four Colours

This version is made from UV powder coated aluminium. Matt Black is the most discreet after dark, Matt Bronze sits well against bark and soil, and Matt White or Matt Dark Grey can match painted walls and fences. The light source is a replaceable 4 watt Cree chip with a CRI of 90 plus.

Choose Your Options

• Colour: Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt White or Matt Dark Grey.
• Colour temperature and beam: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white. Beams are 26º for a single feature, 36º for a larger shrub and 74º for a wider area.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

Push the spike into the soil and angle the head towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

The glare guard makes this a good choice where the light may be seen from a seating area or a path and you want less glare. It suits borders, shrubs and the base of trees. It is also available in the M1 and M2.
