LuxR Modux 4 Pole Spot with Glare Guard - Stainless Steel - Low Voltage

A Brighter Pole Spot With a Built In Shield

The LuxR Modux 4 Pole Spot with Glare Guard has a 4 watt LED, so it gives roughly twice the light of the Modux 2, and an adjustable hood that keeps that light out of people's eyes. It stands on a 400mm pole with an adjustable head. It suits larger trees and features, especially where the fitting will be seen close up.

316 Stainless Steel

The fitting is made in 316 stainless steel, a marine grade metal chosen for outdoor lighting, with a cool silver finish. Inside is a screw mounted 4 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 360 lumens.

What the Glare Guard Does

The hood is a friction fit shield that rotates through 360º and holds its position once set. It stops the LED being seen head on and helps direct unwanted light away from passers by. The glass is fitted flush, so water does not collect on the lens, and a hexcell louvre baffle can be added if you want tighter control of the beam.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º gives a narrow, far reaching beam, 36º is medium, and 74º is a wide spread.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is very warm, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, and frosted softens its edges.

How It Works

Push the pole into the soil, aim the head and turn the hood to cut glare. The fitting is low voltage and needs a suitable driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. The LED and the optic can be replaced later.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Choose this version to light a large tree or feature that sits beside a path, terrace or window, where you want strong light without a visible glare source. It also works well in open borders. We can also supply longer poles, so please contact us to discuss the length you need.

Questions People Ask

What is the difference between the M4 pole spot and the M4 with glare guard?

The light source and pole are the same. The glare guard version adds an adjustable hood over the lens that hides the LED from direct view and reduces glare.

How does the M4 compare with the M2 for brightness?

The M4 has a 4 watt LED that gives around 360 lumens. The M2 has a 2 watt LED that gives around 180 lumens.

How tall is the pole spot with glare guard?

The pole is 400mm long and the whole fitting measures 550.1mm from the tip of the spike to the top of the glare guard. How much shows above ground depends on how deep you push it into the soil.

Does the hood stay in place?

Yes. It is a friction fit hood that turns through 360º and stays where you set it.

Is a driver included?

No. It needs a suitable low voltage driver, sold separately. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

Can I get a longer pole?

Yes. We can supply longer poles, so please contact us with the length you need.
