A More Powerful Pole Spot for Larger Trees

The LuxR Modux 4 Pole Spot is a compact low voltage outdoor spotlight on a 400mm pole. It shares the slim look of the Modux 2 but carries a 4 watt LED, so it gives roughly twice the light. That makes it a strong choice for bigger trees, taller sculpture or planting that needs more punch. The head adjusts, so you can aim the light exactly where it is needed.

316 Stainless Steel for Outdoor Use

This version is made in 316 stainless steel, a marine grade metal chosen for outdoor fittings. The ribbed head and smooth pole keep a cool, silver look that sits well with modern paving and clean planting. The light source is a screw mounted 4 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 360 lumens.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam that reaches up into a tall tree, 36º is a medium beam, and 74º is a wide beam for broader planting.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a soft, very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisp neutral white.
• Lens: a clear lens gives the sharpest beam, and a frosted lens blends its edges.

How It Works

Push the pole into the soil and tilt the head towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage and needs a suitable driver, which is sold separately. Choose a dimmable driver if you want to dim the light. The LED and the optic can both be changed later, so the beam or colour can be adjusted without buying a new fitting.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it where a small fitting needs to do a bigger job: lighting a mature tree from below, washing light over a large sculpture, or picking out a hedge or a stand of tall grasses. The 400mm pole keeps the head above low planting. We can also supply longer poles, so please contact us to discuss the length you need.

How bright is the M4 pole spot compared with the M2?

The M4 uses a 4 watt LED that the brand states gives around 360 lumens. The M2 uses a 2 watt LED and gives around 180 lumens. The M4 is the better choice for larger trees or for lighting from further away.

Which beam angle should I choose?

Choose 26º to reach up a tall trunk or light one feature, 36º for a medium sized shrub or sculpture, and 74º for a broad wash across planting.

How tall is the M4 pole spot?

The pole is 400mm long and the whole fitting measures 505.3mm from the tip of the spike to the top of the head. How much shows above ground depends on how deep you push it into the soil.

Does the M4 pole spot come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

Can I get a longer pole?

Yes. We can supply longer poles, so please contact us with the length you need.

Can I change the LED later?

Yes. The 4 watt Cree LED is screw mounted and can be replaced, and the optic can be swapped to change the beam width.
