A Small Wall Mounted Light That Shines Up and Down

Despite its name, the LuxR Modux 4 Pillar Light is a small wall mounted fitting. It is a slim twin cylinder that fixes to the wall and lights up and down at the same time, so each beam grazes the wall above and below the fitting. It is 176mm high and only 40.6mm across, so it adds a neat, minimal accent to walls, doorways and terraces without taking over.

Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel

This version is machined in 316 stainless steel, a marine grade metal chosen for outdoor fittings. The plain cylinders have a clean, silver look that suits modern buildings and gardens. The light comes from two screw mounted 4 watt Cree LEDs, 8 watts in total, which the brand states delivers around 750 lumens with a CRI of 90+.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam that draws a tight line of light, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear glass gives the sharpest beam, and frosted glass softens its edges.

How It Works

The fitting fixes to the wall with a mounting plate held by two screws, and the light then fits onto the plate. It is a low voltage fitting that runs from a remote 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately and not supplied with the light.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it beside a door, on a garden wall, beside a gate or on a terrace, wherever you want light to fall both up and down a wall surface. It suits textured brick, render and stone.
