A Copper Path Light That Lights All the Way Round
The LuxR Modux 4 PL4 is a very small low voltage path light with a 360º flange, so light spreads all the way around the fitting. The brand states it gives a wash of light 5º below the flange lip and 10º above. The light source is a 4 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus.
Solid Copper With a Natural Patina
This version is machined from copper. It starts out bright and warm, then gradually develops a soft natural patina outdoors, so it sits quietly among lawn, gravel and planting. For a cool silver finish, the same light is also made in marine grade 316 stainless steel.
Choose Your Colour Temperature
- 2200K: a very warm, candle like glow.
- 2700K and 3000K: warm white, comfortable beside planting and timber.
- 4000K: a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
The fitting is recessed into a surface using a 43.5mm cut out. The 360º flange has no dark side, so light goes out in every direction around the fitting. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Choose the 360º version when the fitting sits where light is wanted all round, such as in a freestanding feature or a path marker with open space on every side. It works as a path light wayfinder. The same design is also available with 90º, 180º, opposite facing and 270º flanges, and in the Micro and M2 sizes.

Does the PL4 light all the way round?
Yes. The 360º flange has no dark side, so light spreads in every direction around the fitting.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Will the copper change colour?
Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors over time, so the finish softens and darkens gradually. This is normal and is part of its appeal.
What size hole does it need?
The cut out size is 43.5mm. The fitting comes with 1m of cable.
Can I change the LED later?
Yes. The 4 watt Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
