A Slim Ceiling Light for Eaves, Porches and Patios

The LuxR Modux 4 Ceiling Mount is a slim surface mounted cylinder that fixes to a ceiling or soffit and sends its light downwards. It is only 40.6mm across, so it sits discreetly under an eave, porch roof or patio cover and gives smooth, even light over a doorway, entrance or seating area.

Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel

This version is made in 316 stainless steel, a marine grade metal chosen for outdoor fittings. The plain cylinder has a clean, silver look that suits modern buildings and gardens. The light source is a screw mounted 4 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 375 lumens with a CRI of 90+.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam that makes a tight pool of light, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear glass gives the sharpest beam, and frosted glass softens its edges.

How It Works

The fitting is surface mounted to the ceiling or soffit. It runs on low voltage from a remote 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. The LED can be replaced later, so you do not need a new fitting if it ever needs changing.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it under an eave, in a porch, over a front door, or across a patio or covered walkway, wherever you want soft, even light from above. A glare guard or a snoot can be added if you want tighter control of the light. Please contact us to check the right accessory for this fitting.
