A Powder Coated Wall Wash Light in Four Colours
The LuxR Modux 2 Wall Wash is a very small low voltage recessed light that spreads an even, uniform wash of light. It is designed mainly to be set into floors to wash a wall, and it can also be fitted into a wall to wash the floor. The flange is just 58mm across. This version is UV powder coated aluminium.
Choose Your Colour and Colour Temperature
- Powder coat colour: Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt White or Matt Dark Grey. Pick the one closest to your paving or decking so the flange disappears into the surface.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
How It Works
Recess the fitting into a 43.5mm cut out. The beam is asymmetric, which pushes the light across the surface beside it. The light source is a replaceable 2 watt Cree LED. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. The brand states it can be over driven safely to a maximum of 3 watts for more output. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it beside a textured wall, a fence or a hedge where you want the surface to glow, or set it into a terrace or deck edge. Place several in a row for a smooth, even finish.

What is a wall wash light used for?

What size hole do I need?
You need a 43.5mm cut out. The body is 41mm across and 62mm long, and the flange is 58mm in diameter and 3mm deep.
Does it come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
Can I return a white or dark grey one?
Matt White and Matt Dark Grey are marked Non-Returnable in the colour selector, which means they cannot be returned once ordered. Physical colour swatches are available on request if you want to check first.
Can I change the LED later?
Yes. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
