A Copper Square Light Wash with Two Facets

The LuxR Modux 2 Square Light Wash is a very small low voltage feature light that casts a narrow decorative band of light 5º below the flange lip. This is the 2 facet version: a facet is the opening that the light is emitted from, so this one has two openings. For the exact light distribution, please check the product spec sheet or contact us. The recessed body is 41mm across and 62mm long, with a square flange.

Copper That Develops a Natural Patina

This version is made from copper. It starts warm and bright, then slowly develops a soft natural patina outdoors, so the flange mellows against brick, timber or stone. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED.

Choose Your Colour Temperature

• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow that suits copper well, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.

How It Works

The light is recessed into a wall, post or step riser using a 43.5mm cut out. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it on a wall or post, beside a doorway or along a path. It also lights the wall next to step treads or the treads themselves. Moonlight Design uses LuxR fittings in its own garden lighting designs and installations. It is also available in M4.

Will the copper change colour?

Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors over time, so the finish will soften and darken gradually. This is normal and is part of its appeal.
