Warm Light All the Way Round

With a 360º flange, the LuxR Modux 2 PL4 sends light out on every side. It is a small recessed low voltage path light for any spot that needs light all around. The brand states that the wash falls 5º below the flange lip and 10º above, so it can light a wall surface or work as a path light wayfinder.

Copper That Gains Character

This copper version is precision machined and starts out bright and warm. Outdoors it slowly develops a soft natural patina, so each fitting gradually takes on its own character and sinks quietly into the planting. Its 2 watt Cree LED has a CRI of 90 plus, so plants and stonework look true to colour. A 360º flange in copper suits spots where the warm tone of copper settles in next to brick, timber and planting.

Choose Your Options

• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Flange angle: each flange angle is sold as its own listing. The PL range comes in 90º, 180º, 2x90º opposite, 270º and 360º, in copper or stainless steel.

How It Works

The fitting recesses into a 43.5mm cut out. It is supplied with 1m of H05RN-F cable and runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Choose this one for even coverage in every direction. It is a good fit for walls, edges and borders where the warm tone of copper settles in next to brick, timber and planting. If you need a different size, the same design is also available in the Micro and M4.

Questions People Ask

What size hole does the PL4 path light need?

It needs a 43.5mm cut out, and the flange has an 11mm depth. It is supplied with 1m of cable.

Does it come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered NICEIC electrician installs it.

Which flange angle should I choose?

The 360º flange (PL4) lights all the way round. The other options are 90º (one quarter), 180º (half), 2x90º opposite and 270º (three quarters). Choose 360º when light is needed on every side.

Will the copper change colour?

Yes. Copper develops a natural patina outdoors over time, so the finish softens and darkens gradually. This is normal and is part of its appeal.

Can I change the LED or beam later?

Yes. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
