A Slim Ceiling Light for Eaves, Porches and Patios
The LuxR Modux 2 Ceiling Mount is a slim cylinder that fixes to the ceiling and sends light straight down. It is only 40.6mm across, so it gives smooth, even light under an eave, in a porch or entryway, or over a patio without taking over the space.
Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel
This version is machined in 316 stainless steel, a marine grade metal chosen for outdoor fittings. The plain cylinder has a clean, silver look that suits modern buildings. The light source is a screw mounted 2 watt Cree LED, which the brand states delivers around 175 lumens with a CRI of 90+.
Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens
- Beam: 26º is a narrow beam, 36º is a medium spread, and 74º is a wide wash.
- Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
- Lens: clear glass gives the sharpest beam, and frosted glass softens its edges.
How It Works
The fitting is surface mounted to the ceiling, soffit or eave. It runs on low voltage from a 700mA constant current driver, which is sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light.
Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
Use it under eaves, in porches and entryways, over a patio or in any covered outdoor area where you want a neat, low profile light. A glare guard or a snoot can be added if you want tighter control of the light. Please contact us to check the right accessory for this fitting.

What does the M2 ceiling mount do?

Does the ceiling mount come with a driver?
No. It is a low voltage fitting that needs a suitable 700mA constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.
