A Stainless Steel Bracket Spotlight with a Built In Glare Guard

The LuxR Modux 2 Bracket Mount with Glare Guard is a very small low voltage spotlight on a stiff metal bracket, with a glare guard fitted to the front. Fix it to any surface with a 4mm diameter screw and aim the head. The glare guard helps keep the light source out of direct sight.

Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel

This version is precision machined from marine grade 316 stainless steel, a tough, corrosion resistant finish that suits wet, coastal and exposed sites. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus, and the fitting is rated IP68.

Choose Your Beam, Colour and Lens

• Beam: 26º is a narrow beam for a single feature, 36º is a medium beam, and 74º is a wide beam for a broader wash.
• Colour temperature: 2200K is a very warm glow, 2700K and 3000K are warm white, and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

Fix the bracket, then angle the head towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Choose it for coastal gardens, decks and modern exteriors where you want a clean, low glare accent light on a wall, post or pergola. It is also available in M4.

What does the glare guard do?

It shields the light source so you see less direct glare when you look towards the fitting. The standard bracket mount has no glare guard.

Does it come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

Is this suitable for coastal gardens?

It is made from marine grade 316 stainless steel, which is chosen for wet and coastal conditions.

Which beam angle should I choose?

Choose 26º for a tight beam on one feature, 36º for a medium spread, and 74º for a wide wash across a larger area.

Can I change the LED later?
