A Powder Coated Bracket Spotlight with a Built In Glare Guard

The LuxR Modux 2 Bracket Mount with Glare Guard is a very small low voltage spotlight on a stiff metal bracket, with a glare guard fitted to the front. Fix it to any surface with a 4mm diameter screw and aim the head. The glare guard helps keep the light source out of direct sight.

UV Powder Coated Aluminium

This version is machined from aluminium and finished in a UV powder coat, so you can match it to fascias, railings or cladding. The light source is a 2 watt Cree LED with a CRI of 90 plus, and the fitting is rated IP68.

Choose Your Colour, Beam and Lens

• Colour: Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt Dark Grey or Matt White.
• Colour temperature and beam: choose 2200K, 2700K, 3000K or 4000K together with a 26º, 36º or 74º beam. 26º is narrow, 36º is medium and 74º is a wide wash. 2200K is a very warm glow and 4000K is a crisper neutral white.
• Lens: clear gives the sharpest beam, while frosted softens the edges of the light.

How It Works

Fix the bracket, then angle the head towards your subject. The fitting runs on low voltage, so it needs a suitable constant current driver, which is not included, and it is wired in series. It is dimmable when paired with a suitable dimmable driver. A 1m cable is supplied. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.

Moonlight Design recommends that all lighting should be installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Choose it for painted walls, posts and pergolas where you want the fitting to blend in and keep glare low. It is also available in M4.

Questions People Ask

What does the glare guard do?

It shields the light source so you see less direct glare when you look towards the fitting. The standard bracket mount has no glare guard.

Does it come with a driver?

No. It is a low voltage fitting and needs a suitable constant current driver, sold separately. A dimmable driver lets you dim the light. We recommend a registered electrician installs it.

Which colours are available?

Matt Black, Matt Bronze, Matt Dark Grey and Matt White. Matt Dark Grey and Matt White are marked Non-Returnable in the colour selector.

Which beam angle should I choose?

Choose 26º for a tight beam on one feature, 36º for a medium spread, and 74º for a wide wash across a larger area.

Can I change the LED later?

Yes. The Cree LED can be replaced or swapped for a colour LED, and the optic can be changed to alter the beam width.
